Final Review

At the start of class we went over the practice final.  Afterwards we played a game as a means of reviewing for the final.  There is no assigned homework except to study.  Look over the three review packets and the practice final as the test be a similar format.

During review these were the topics which gave students most difficulty and you should look them over before the exam on Monday.

1.  Mixed Number Computation (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing)
2.  Subtracting Integers
3.  Dividing Decimals
4.  Converting fractions to decimals
5.  Finding mean, median. mode and range

Practice Final

In class students worked on making correcting on the three review packets that should be completed at this point.  After all correction were completed, students were given a practice final to work on and the document is linked below.

Final Review (3)

In class we went over some of the questions on Final Review #2.  Afterwards, students were introduced to ratios and proportional reasoning and measured a number of objects around campus.  We will complete the activity on Wednesday.

Review for Final (2)

In class we played a game of Bingo to review fraction and decimal operations.  Afterwards students were given a review assignment that is to be completed for next class on Prime Factorization, Integer Operations and Coordinate Graphing.  The assignment is linked below.

Equation Word Problems

In class students learned how to use an algebraic equation to solve various word problems.  Students were introduced to a let statement which they will continue to use going forward.
